Open collateral position
A collateral position can be opened by locking ether in the collateral contract.
To open a collateral position go to the collateral tab in the dashboard. Example below.
Enter the token amount (lUSD) to mint and the ETH amount to lock as collateral. Under collateral details the overview will live show the liquidation price of your collateral position for the current amounts entered. The liquidation price needs to be higher than the current rate, else the transaction will fail. Example below.
When you have the amounts you like press the green upload button in the bottom right corner. Then agree with the payment using your web3 wallet, in this example metamask. Example below.
Once the transaction is send wait for it to be included in the blockchain. If you refresh the page you will see your collateral position. Example below.
The minted tokens are added to your wallet and viewable under dashboard. Example below.
